Meet The Founder

Todd Metro is a highly experienced and driven, security, event, and venue professional with a demonstrated ability to execute physical security operations, major events, and daily venue operations in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. Proficient in and able to develop and maintain internal and external relationships in support of operational goals and organizational objectives.

Experienced in conducting assessments and implementing plans to reduce or mitigate threats, risks and hazards while also creating operational effectiveness. Effectively and efficiently lead high functioning teams of professionals while managing cross functional projects and initiatives. Established and maintained strong working relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement, Intelligence, and Public Safety agencies as well as venue operators and service providers from across the public assembly and venue/event operations sector. Todd also participates in many professional forums linked to the security & medical fields.

Currently serving as the Director of Security for Major League Baseball team, Todd stands both diligent in his security related career and committed to the profession. He served with New York Road Runner’s from 2018 to 2022 after serving as a First Grade Detective with the New York City Police Department, with over 25 years of law enforcement experience.

Todd is responsible for overseeing all aspects of security pertaining to the organization’s executive staff, front office employees, venue security, coach and player protection at home and on the road, spring training facility, and a Baseball Academy in the Dominican Republic.

While serving as the Head of Safety & Security at New York Road Runners, Todd was responsible for overseeing all security and medical related aspects for all New York Road Runner related events throughout the year, including the TCS NYC Marathon, United Airlines Half Marathon, Popular Brooklyn Half Marathon, and Staten Island Half Marathon. His daily roles and responsibilities included managing a dedicated team of security and medical related professionals regarding security management and medical logistics.

Prior to joining New York Road Runner’s, Todd was a highly accomplished security and management professional with expertise in leveraging technology to enhance security projects and leading large-scale security/technology initiatives in areas of Homeland Security and Counterterriorsm with the New York City Police Department.

Todd Metro was born and raised in New York. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the University of South Florida in 1989. Aside from being a security related professional, Todd is an accomplished endurance athlete having successfully completed numerous marathons and three full Ironman distance races.
